香港總商會，是香港歷史**悠久、規(guī)模**龐大的商業(yè)組織。這次拜訪香港總商會，一是看望老朋友，結(jié)交新朋友，加強溝通交流，增進(jìn)彼此了解和友誼；二是介紹山西省情，促進(jìn)經(jīng)貿(mào)合作。今天下午的開幕式上，山西省商務(wù)廳還將與貴會簽署長期合作的備忘錄，我們之間的聯(lián)系會更密切。

HKGCC is the oldest and largest business organisation in Hong Kong. There are two main purposes of our visit to HKGCC. The first purpose is to renew old friends and make new ones, to improve communication and exchanges, and to advance mutual understanding and friendship. The second purpose is that we will introduce the current situation of Shanxi Province and further promote economic and trade cooperation. Shanxi Commerce Department and HKGCC will sign a memorandum of long-standing cooperation at the opening ceremony this afternoon, which means we will then have a closer relationship with each other.

長期以來，山西和香港形成了密切的經(jīng)貿(mào)合作關(guān)系，既對山西經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展起到了積極的促進(jìn)作用，也為香港企業(yè)拓展了發(fā)展空間。截止2006年5月，港資累計在山西投資項目達(dá)1187個，占全省外資項目的47%，累計合同投資額18.60億美元，占山西省全部合同外資額的28%。2005年，山西對港澳臺地區(qū)貿(mào)易額為2.53億美元。隨著中央政府實施促進(jìn)中部地區(qū)崛起戰(zhàn)略，地處中部地區(qū)的山西成為各方關(guān)注的熱點，將形成新一輪投資和發(fā)展熱潮，希望我們在此基礎(chǔ)上有更多、更大的合作發(fā)展。

For a long time, Shanxi and Hong Kong have set up close economic and trade cooperative relationship, which has not only enhanced economic and social development in Shanxi, but also expended the development space for Hong Kong enterprises. Up to May 2006, Hong Kong companies have invested 1,187 projects in Shanxi, accounting for 47% of overall foreign investment projects in Shanxi. The total contractual investment from Hong Kong has reached US$1.86 billion, accounting for 28% of overall contractual foreign investment in Shanxi. In 2005, trade volume between Shanxi and the areas of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was US$253 million. With the strategy to promote the rise of midland introduced by central government, Shanxi, located in the midland of China, has become a hotspot that attracts attention from all areas, leading to a new surge of investment and development. Based on these situations, hopefully we can have more cooperation and development opportunities.

山西省人民政府這次來香港舉辦招商洽談會，其主要目的就是****宣傳山西，推廣招商項目，尋求合作伙伴，促進(jìn)晉港合作。我們這次帶來了3000多個招商項目，將舉辦6場專題招商推介洽談活動，全省11個市也將根據(jù)自身產(chǎn)業(yè)優(yōu)勢、項目特點分別舉辦的各具特色的主題招商洽談活動。希望各位有選擇、有重點地參加這些活動。

Shanxi Municipal People’s Government has come to Hong Kong to hold the Investment Fair. The main aim is to comprehensively publicise Shanxi and its investment projects, to seek partners, and to promote the cooperation between Shanxi and Hong Kong.
